John W. Upchurch

John W. Upchurch, age 80, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born May 3, 1937 in Monticello, Kentucky the son of the late Joseph and Hattie Choate Upchurch.  John had worked at Cincinnati Milacron for 38 years, after Milacron closed in Wilmington; he went to work for Micro-Warehouse until his retirement.    He is survived by two daughters, Pauline Zoller and JJ Bell, both of Wilmington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ray Charles Upchurch of Kentucky and Carl (Norma Jean) Upchurch of Indiana; and good friends Bill Bolser and Billy Ray Thorne III.   In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 8 siblings, one grandson, and great grandson Remington Jase.  Visitation will be held Tuesday January 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  There will be no public service.  For more information or to leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page Brown Funeral Home.
