Sharon Sue (Heinz) Beard, age 72, of Bowersville, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Kettering Medical Center.  She was born April 25, 1945 in Jamestown, Ohio the daughter of Floyd and Geneva DeVoe Heinz.  Sharon is survived by her husband Thomas Beard, to who she married March 7, 1964 in the Bowersville United Methodist Church.  Sharon was a dedicated wife and mother who devoted her energies to helping her husband manage the family farm.  She enjoyed babysitting her grandsons Dominic and Anthony when they were young, and in recent years found enjoyment in solving jigsaw puzzles with Dominic.  She was a talented seamstress and crafter who enjoyed making blankets for all.  Sharon was a graduate of Greeneview High School and a long time 4-H club advisor.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother Geneva (DeVoe) Heinz; children, Shelley and her husband Wayne LeBay, Tim and his wife Katherine Beard, and Susan and her husband Brian Colucci; siblings Ron Heinz, Bonnie and her husband Wayne Weimer, and Terry and his wife Linda Heinz; grandsons Dominic and Anthony Colucci and Sebastian LeBay; sisters-in-law, Fay J. (Neil) Beard and Elva Mae (George) MacDougal; several nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her father Floyd Heinz; parents-in-law Wilbur and Hazel Beard; and brothers-in-law Neil Beard and Wayne Weimer.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to any Autism or Children’s Charity of the donor’s choice.  The family wishes to thank the caring medical professional that cared for Sharon.  All services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.  Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington is assisting the family.  For more information or to leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
