Catherine Finettie (Wilson) Honnerlaw

Catherine Finettie “Kate” Honnerlaw, age 89, of Wilmington, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at Ohio Living Cape May.  Kate was born January 19, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late William E. and Katherine Huta Wilson.  Kate was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, and had graduated and retired from Wilmington College, working as an Administration Assistant, serving in several offices.   She was an avid book collector, reader, wildlife print collector, and artist. She enjoyed birdwatching, traveling, and antiques.  Kate is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffry and his wife Cheri Honnerlaw of Wilmington, and Shawn and his wife Amy Honnerlaw of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky; grandchildren, Bryan (Amy) Honnerlaw of Lake Port, Florida, Brent (Alex) Honnerlaw of San Diego, California, Brittany (Nick) Christen and Bree Honnerlaw, both of Wilmington, Dylan Honnerlaw of Dayton, Beverly Honnerlaw, Brandon Honnerlaw, Luke Honnerlaw, and Kaliyah Honnerlaw all of Ft. Mitchell; two step-grandchildren, Patrick Mahon of Covington, Kentucky and Henry Mahon of West Palm Beach, Florida; and two great grandchildren, Huck Honnerlaw and Sawyer Honnerlaw, both of Lake Port, Florida.  In addition to her parents, Kate is preceded by her husband Donald J. Honnerlaw in 1999, and son Craig Honnerlaw in 2004.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington.  Father Michael Holloran will be the Celebrant.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. at the church.  As there will be no procession following Mass, all are invited to committal service and burial to be held at 2:30 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246.
