Cheryl Younker, age 61, of Sabina, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. She was born July 17, 1958 in Xenia, Ohio the daughter of the late Ralph and Patricia (Cope) Coates. Cheryl enjoyed car rides around the country, cooking shows, ghost shows, and visiting Amish country, but most especially, she enjoyed being at home and spending time with family. Cheryl is survived by four children, Melissa (Roger Brown) Merrill of Fairborn, Brandy (Mike) Lawson of Xenia, Kenneth (Melisa) Younker of Port William, and Jennifer (Scott) McCormick of Dayton; two sisters, Robin (Dan) Haman of Wilmington and Sandy (Brad) Osborne of Miamisburg; brother, Dennis (Rebecca) Coates of Bellbrook; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; special friend Zeke Zantene; sister-in-law Carla McCoy of Xenia; two brothers-in-law, Marvin (Michelle) Younker of Wilmington and Dave (Margaret) Younker of Jamestown; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Herbert Younker in 2016; daughter Trish Merrill; great-grandson Oaklen Edwards; brother-in-law Ray Johnson; and many other beloved family members.
