Craig Reeder Obituary

Craig L. Reeder, age 60, of Wilmington, lost his battle with cancer at home under the care of Community Care Hospice. Craig was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on December 15, 1957 the son of Cornelius and Mary Lou Vincent Reeder. Craig was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Kate” Reeder; two sons, Jason Reeder and Christopher “Taz” Reeder; three grandsons, Gabriel Reeder, Azriel Reeder, and Britton Reeder; foster parents, Thomas Applegate and Carolyn Applegate; brothers, Cornelius Reeder, Jr., Cleophus Reeder, Duane Reeder, Roland Reeder, David Gadson, Esco Reeder, and Walter Reeder; sisters, Joy Reeder and Tracy Reeder; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends. Craig is preceded in death by his father Cornelius Reeder; mother Mary Lou Reeder; sister Viola Reeder; and brother Richard Reeder. Condolences may be made to the family at Quinn Chapel AME Church, 50 N. Lincoln Street, Wilmington, between 12:00 to 1:00 pm Thursday, August 23, 2018 with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 pm. Rev. Irwin McIntosh will officiate. Repast will immediately follow the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Springfield Friends Cemetery.
