Edwin J. "Jay" Williams

Edwin J. “Jay” Williams, age 64, of Chillicothe, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 in Chillicothe.  He was born November 5, 1954 in Wilmington, the son of the late Adolphus and Veda Mae (Thompson) Williams, Jr.  Jay was a veteran of the United States Navy, an avid reader, had a mechanical mind, and enjoyed tinkering and fixing anything.  He is survived by one sister, Jolene (David) Heath of Hamilton; one brother, Sean (Kristi) Williams of Mechanicsville, Virginia; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In addition to his parents, Jay is preceded one brother, Walter A. Williams.  Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Military Honors will be accorded immediately following the service at the funeral home by the American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Burial will take place Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. in New Antioch Cemetery.  For more information, or to sign our on-line register, please visit www.arehart-browm.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
