James B. Stone

James B. Stone, age 85, of Blanchester, died Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born March 26, 1934 in Greenup County, Kentucky the son of the late James and Caroline Rister Stone.  James grew up understanding the value of a hard day’s work, and worked hard all of his life.  He is survived by three children, Patty Wooten of Chillicothe, Estel (Jeanie) Stone of Wilmington, and Cathy (Robert) Siders of Blanchester; several grandchildren; brother Eddie (Charlene) Stone of Ripley; and many friends.  In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Maryland Irwin Stone; step-son Robert “Andy” Keplinger; son Keith Brady Stone; grandsons, Robert Stone, Shane Stone, and Brenton Moore; and siblings, Clifford Stone, Lloyd Stone, Harry Stone, Henry Stone, Finley Stone, Frank Stone, Gracie Stone, Sally Stone, Dorothy Stone, and Nellie Stone.  Funeral services will take place 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.  For more information, or to sign our on-line register, please visit www.arehart-brown.com or see our Facebook page Brown Funeral Home.
