Joshua Emmanuel Criss

Joshua Emmanuel Criss, age 29, of Wilmington, died Monday, November 19, 2018 at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born October 6, 1989 in Wilmington the son of the late Gary M. and Rita Kay Shepard Criss.  Joshua was a 2008 graduate of Blanchester High School, and a graduate of Wittenberg University.  He had worked with Applebee’s Restaurants, but the joy in his life was spending time with his niece Nefertari and nephew Nathaniel.   Joshua is survived by his sister Jessica Criss of Wilmington; niece Nefertari Criss; nephew Nathaniel Criss; grandfather Glenn Criss of Belpre, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Criss; paternal grandmother Jean Criss; and maternal grandparents Elbie and Beulah Shepard.   Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Pastor Darrell Dowd will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
