Maiken G. (Krause) Ehlers

Maiken G. Ehlers, age 90, of Wilmington, formerly of Michigan, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Ohio Living Cape May in Wilmington.  She was born May 26, 1928 in Delitzch, Germany the daughter of the late Georg and Louisa Hankel Krause.  Maiken was the former owner and operator of Harbor Haus Restaurant and Old Country Haus Restaurant in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bettina and Edward Myers of Wilmington, and cousin Ann and husband Gustav Schickedanz of Toronto, Canada.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fritz Ehlers.  Memorial services will take place this spring at the convenience of the family in Copper Harbor, Michigan.  Memorial contributions are directed to Community Care Hospice, 1669 Rombach Avenue, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.  Brown Funeral Home is serving the family.  For more information, or to sign our on-line register, please visit www.arehart-brown.com or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
