Maurice Allen Fauley, Sr., age 89 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born September 20, 1929 in East Fultonham, Ohio, the son of the late Ernest and Mildred (Cope) Fauley. Maurice was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, great father and grandfather. Maurice was Protestant by faith he will be missed deeply. Maurice was an avid reader and enjoyed Western books and movies. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea during the Korean War. Maurice is survived by his wife of more than 66 years, Lois Joan (Cline) Fauley, to whom he married February 12, 1953 in Tiltonsville, Ohio; two daughters, Donna (Bob) Kreuter of Pataskala, Ohio and Bev (Doug) James of Wilmington; two sons, Al (Lori) Fauley of Pataskala, and Tim (Loree) Fauley of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Michael Kreuter, Shayden James, Shiloh James, and Nikita James; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and siblings, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Dr. Kathryn Fauley on October 27, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
