Robert Emil Anthony Drake

Robert Emil Anthony Drake, age 71, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born April 22, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Robert R. and Mary Ann Fiorentino Drake.  Bob was a lifelong farmer who had the talent of being able to fix “anything”.  To his family, he was husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and brother; to his neighbors, he was one of the guys; to the neighborhood kids, he was one of the kids.  He will be missed by all.  It was not uncommon to see the neighborhood kids gathered around Bob on his front porch, listening to stories, or playing games, like “the scribble game”. He was one of the kids at heart. Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Kay (Krull) Drake; children, Robert (Kim) Drake of Clarksville, and Michelle (Shannon Dalton) Montgomery of Wilmington; grandchildren, Robert (Jani) Drake of Maineville, Hannah Drake and Kaitlynn Drake of Clarksville, Jennifer Montgomery of Raleigh, N.C., Bradley Montgomery of Wilmington, and Ian Dalton of Wilmington; great grandson Robert Drake; siblings, David (Sandy) Drake of Wilmington, Jim (Donna) Drake of Harveysburg, Steve Drake of Trenton,  Dan (Cindy) Drake of Seaman, Julie (Ken) Watkins of Wilmington, Patrick (Bonnie) Drake of Greenfield, Rebecca (John) Lephart of Bellbrook, Tim (Jennifer) Drake of Blanchester, and Marianne Romohr of Blanchester;  and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded by one brother, Tom Drake.  Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.    The family asks that memorial donations be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in lieu of flowers.  For more information, or to sign our on-line register, please visit www.arehart-brown.com or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home
