Sharon Marie Kanzius

Sharon Marie Kanzius, age 72, of Wilmington, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born January 15, 1946 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Allen Simkins and Inez Williams.  Sharon was a child of Christ, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She had been a beautician for several years at Paulines’s, was a part-time realtor with Hearth Realty in Xenia, and had worked for 18 ½  years at ABX.  Sharon is survived by her husband, Joseph Martin Kanzius III, to whom she married February 3, 1968 in Wilmington, they had just celebrated their 50th Anniversary; two daughters, Lisa Kanzius and Cynthia Kanzius, both of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Spencer Christian Skalski and Dalton Brewer; siblings, Walter Lee (Carolyn) Simkins of Monroe, Kenny (Bev) Williams of Lebanon, and John Williams of Wilmington; and sister-in-law Jo Kanzius of Catawba, North Carolina.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Sandra Rish in 2015.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place.  Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  The family asks that memorial donations be made to Community Care Hospice, P.O.
