Tammy Lynne (Tackett) Hamilton

Tammy Lynne Hamilton, 48, of West Portsmouth, Ohio (formerly of Wilmington, Ohio), died June 1, 2018, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio after a 28 year battle with Crohn’s disease. She was born February 17th, 1970 in Montgomery County to the late Richard and Sheila Tackett. Tammy is a 1988 Graduate of Wilmington High School where she was active in Track and Field, and was a member of the Softball team.  Tammy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Mark Hamilton of West Portsmouth, Ohio; sons Keith Hamilton of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Scottie Hamilton of West Portsmouth, Ohio; sisters Tina (Daniel Lake) Kirkhart of Peebles and Beth (Kevin) Kell of Hillsboro; brother Jamie (Dee) Tackett of Wilmington; grandmother Francis Luers of Dayton; stepfather Richard (Sue) Caplinger of Wilmington; grandchildren Haylee Hamilton of Marietta, Shayla Hamilton of Hillsboro, and Summer Rayne Hamilton of Portsmouth; as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents Herman Luers of Dayton, Otis Tackett of Kentucky, Clarence and Anna Myers of Wilmington; and infant brother Ritchie Tackett. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Pastor Daron Lilly will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington.
