Addam Kent "Shaef-Dog" Shaeffer

Addam Kent “Shaef-Dog” Shaeffer, age 39, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home. He was born December 21, 1984, in West Palm Beach, Florida the son of Robert Kent Shaeffer and Sandra Lynn Lovelace. Addam followed the Florida Gators; to say he was an avid fan is not enough. He was a certified Personal Trainer, and took great interest in body wellness. More than anything, he loved, and lived for his girls. He was involved and followed every activity they were involved with, from cheerleading, gymnastics and school activities. Addam is survived by his three girls, Annika Lynn, Addalyn Lilly, and Ava Lillylyn; mother, Sandra Lynn Lovelace, of Wilmington; father Robert Kent Shaeffer of Wilmington; siblings, Alyssa Lynn (Ed) Lippincott of Wilmington, Mercedes Lynn (Jason) Mitchell of Farmersville, Ohio, and William David (Heather) Welsch, Jr. of Wilmington; nieces and nephews, Michael (Joan) Mack, Noah (Hallie) Mack, Alyk Lippincott, Skyla Edwards, Carson Edwards, Riley Mitchell, Carter Mitchell, Camden Mitchell, Liara Brown, Sophie Mitchell, and Willaim Welsch III; maternal grandmother Maxine Lovelace of Wilmington; paternal grandmother Wanda Whiting of Wilmington; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, maternal grandfather Fred Lovelace II and paternal grandfather Russell Shaeffer. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, at Faith Family Church, 64 Williams Road, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
