Alice (McBride) Thrasher

Alice McBride Thrasher, age 86, of Selmer, Tennessee, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Clinton Regional Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.  She was born May 4, 1940, the daughter of the late Thomas and Pauline McBride.  Alice was a graduate of University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics.  

She spent the majority of her career at Henco in Selmer, Tennessee.   Alice was an avid crafter, loved to read and enjoyed solving puzzle books. She dearly loved her time with friends and the annual trip to Florida with her “Sand Sisters”.  

Alice is survived by her son Trevor W. Thrasher and daughter-in-law Cindi L. Williams of Wilmington, Ohio; granddaughters Miranda W. Thrasher of Orlando, Florida, and Chloe L. Williams of Seattle, Washington; and many beloved step-children and step-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband P. Houston Thrasher; brother Glenn McBride; and niece Karen Channell.  

A Celebration of Alice’s Life is being planned and will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
