Arthur "Art" Huffman, Jr. Obituary

Arthur “Art” Huffman, Jr., age 74, of the New Antioch Community, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.  He was born May 10, 1951, in Elmville, Ohio, the son of the late Arthur Leroy and Rutha Pearl (Cox) Huffman.   Art was a man who was very strong in his faith.  He enjoyed fishing, boating and a good poker game.  He was an accomplished Auctioneer having practiced for more than 50 years.  He was the voice behind Huffman Auctioneer Service and had achieved the awards in auctioneering of The Golden Gavel at The Ohio State Fair, and Champion Speaker, Knotts Auctioneer School.  Art was passionate about assisting others in their journey to recovery having sponsored numerous people through A.A.  The most special times in his life were spending time with family, especially his grandchildren who affectionally called him “Pap”.  His grandchildren will always have the memories of him playing and singing with them.  Art is survived by his wife Debra Jean (Richards) Huffman, with whom he just celebrated 50 years of marriage; children, Lee Huffman of Wilmington, Cassi (Carl) Kilpatrick of Beaufort, South Carolina, Anthony Lee “Tony” (Paula) Crawford of Xenia, and Serenity (Matthew) Neal of Lordstown, Ohio; grandchildren, Cory Lee (Chelsey) Huffman of Covington, Kentucky, Andrew Thomas “Drew” Huffman of Wilmington, Lauren Elizabeth “Beth” Huffman of Denver, Colorado, Reilly (Max) Kilpatrick of Charlotte, North Carolina, Reagan Kilpatrick of Charleston, South Carolina, Dakota Lee Crawford of Xenia, Samantha True Crawford of Xenia, Allyson Anne (Hunter) Neal of Lordstown, Josie Kaitlyn Neal of Lordstown, Ethan Michael Neal of Lordstown, and Katie McKenzie Neal of Lordstown; great-grandson Dean Matthew Corbitt; Several special nieces, nephews, and cousins; and the many friends he made along his life’s  journey.  In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by one daughter Crystal Dawn Huffman; grandchild Shae Braxton Huffman (who died 10 years to the day before him); and three siblings Louise and her husband Joe Pinkerton, Walt Parlier, and Connie Huffman.  Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.    Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2025, at the funeral home, David Van Hoose and Jamie Pritchett will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington.  Anyone who would like to donate in Art’s memory can do so at www.arehart-brown.com.  Condolences can be made at www.arehart-brown.com, or on our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
