Barbara Lee Folk Ashley, 75, died peacefully and surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio. She was born December 19, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is the daughter of the late Clarence and Madge (Clark) Folk. Recently residing in Wilmington, she is formerly of Pataskala, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known by all as "Nana." She previously worked for Pediatric Ophthalmology at Nationwide Children's Hospital and United Health Care in Columbus
She is survived by her four children, Sharon (Keith) Newton of Wilmington, Clark (Katrina) Hutchison of Etna, Todd (Monica) Ashley of Cleveland, and Danielle (Scott) Grady of Buckeye Lake. Eleven grandchildren, Natasha Hutchison, Amber (Michael) Dorsch, Mandy (Shane) Prater, Laura (Brian) Roberts, Amy Newton, Matthew Hutchison, Ryan Ashley, Nathan (Melody) Ashley, Noah Johnston, Caydan Grady, and Emmaleigh Grady; and eight great-grandchildren, Abigail, Allison, Makenna, Cheyenne, Evelynne, Rowan, Madilyn, and Mason. She is also survived by her brother, Arthur (Betty Jean) Folk of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kira Leigh Ashley.
A private celebration of life will be hosted by her family at a future time.
