Barbara Ann (Bean) Flora, age 80, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 1, 2022, at her home with her children by her side. Her husband of 43 years, Mark C. Flora, Sr. preceded her in death on June 20, 2021. Barbara was born May 26, 1941 in Wilmington, Ohio, the daughter of the late Jess and Kathleen (Freeland) Bean. She appreciated a very simple life with her husband. She loved spending her winters in Florida and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Barbara enjoyed shopping and gifting with a purpose and she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Barbara is survived by her children, Debbie (Mike) Howard of New Vienna, Rhonda (Les) Cochran of Lynchburg, Brian (Keri) Young of Japan, Scott Young of Hillsboro and Mark (Lisa) Flora Jr. of Fayetteville. She leaves 18 grandchildren behind, Michael (Jenny) Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Bradley (Dani) Cochran, Alexa Cochran, Kali Cochran, Taushia (Adam) Means, Brian (Jade) Young, Colton Young, Cameron Young, Kaden Young, Kwynlan Young, Mitchell Nelson, McKenna Nelson, Kylieh Young, Branson Young, Brailey Young, Sydney Flora and Brady Flora. She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren Michael, Markus, Matt, Mia, Tabby, Landon, Layne, Adalynn, Alex, Avery and Opal. She is survived by her sisters Brenda Camp, Patty (Phil) Butler of Wilmington and several nieces and nephews, including her dear niece, Geannie South. In addition to her parents and cherished grandparents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Bean, her sister, Kaye Doyle and her very special aunt, Ruth Angle.
