Barbara "Barb" Richardson

Barbara (Barb) Richardson is walking with the angels, for she went home to be with the Lord surrounded by loving family on Sunday, September 11, at 3:50 am. Born on August 20, 1932, in Oneida, KY (Clay County), Barb was the daughter of Greene and Annie Bowling (deceased).

Barbara was a gentle soul with a fierce love for her family and Jesus. She loved crafts, jewelry making, and taking care of her flower bed. Barb was an incredible role model, and her passion for life and will to live is something her family will forever remember. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to us for living life to the fullest and not letting anything get in her way. Her gift to the world is not the words she spoke but how she made those around her feel.

Barb was the last to join her 11 siblings in eternity and is survived by two sons, Melvin Eugene of Blanchester, Russell Ray (Shanin) of Wilmington, OH; 4 daughters, Peggy Sue (Steve) Greene of Clarksville, OH, Anna Jean (Vince) Elliott of Clarksville, OH, Marsha Lynn (Todd) Fentress of Columbus, OH and Kathryn Marie Richardson of Blanchester, OH;  along with 18 grandchildren: Melvin, Joe, Jimmy, Jason, Bradley, Jeremy, Thomas, Josh, Travis, Mathew, Zachariah, Gabrielle, Makenna, Marlee, Luke, Rylee, Ashley, Casey and 30 great-grandchildren.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings, along with the love of her life and husband of 35 years, Donald Eugene (Gene) Richardson of Clarkesville, OH, her son Michael Joe Richardson of Florida, 2 daughters, Diane Lynn Richardson Taylor of Clarksville and Verna Kay Richardson of Blanchester, one grandchild Timothy Aaron Taylor, and one great-grandchild.

Barbara’s Celebration of Life will be held at 639 Nauvoo Road, Clarksville, Ohio 45113, at 12 noon on September 17, 2022 for family and friends.

Private burial service for immediate family only prior to Celebration of Life.
