Bobbie Jo Shanks

Bobbie Jo Shanks, age 55, of Lebanon, died November 22, 2023, in Dayton, Ohio. She was born November 20, 1968, in Dayton. Bobbie is preceded in death by her father Bobby; G-pa Clyde; grandma Mary; granny Jess; half-sister Rebecca; step-sister Bobbie Jo; special cousin Timmy; her special “half-ass” Don; and several loving aunts and uncles. Bobbie Jo leaves behind her mother Vicki; daughter Mary; son Gary (Jordan); much loved grandchildren, Maya, John, Octavia, and Bexlee; her partner and special person J.V., and his children, Beth, Nicki, Barbie, Billy, and his many grandchildren; half sister Brenda; half brother Robin; step-sister Tina; several cousins; and many friends. Bobbie was a graduate of Belmont High School and Sinclair Community College. She loved all things in the medical field, especially mental health. She loved dance, theater, Nascar, hockey, and her Steelers. She lived life with a loving and giving heart. She was an organ donor, so others could live and enjoy the life she leaves. An avid believer in angels, she is as she was on Earth, an angel watching over all she loves. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. All other services and burial in Mt Zion Cemetery in Poplar Grove, Ohio, will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio, is assisting the family.
