Bryan Christopher Drake

Bryan Christopher “Mouse” Drake, age 34, of Stanton, Texas, formerly of the Wilmington area, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Texas due to cardiac health issues.  He was born January 4, 1987 in Wilmington the son of Bryan Del and Christine (Simpson) Drake.  He had been working on an oil rig in the gulf near Texas.  “Mouse” was a member of the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church where he was baptized in 2001; he was a 2005 Graduate of Wilmington High School; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.   “Mouse” whole heartedly loved his family.  He is survived by his father Bryan D. Drake of Martinsville; sister Casey (Patrick) Beatty of Sabina; Nieces and nephews,  Eric Pence, McKenzie Pence, Nicholas Pence, and Addison Pence; grandmother Sarah Drake of Wilmington; grandmother Ramona Simpson of New Vienna; uncles, Robert (Denise) Drake of Hillsboro, Robert Simpson of Wilmington, Mike Simpson of New Vienna, and Dennis (Cheryl) Simpson of Lynchburg; aunt Lori (Chris) Staub of Kentucky; several cousins including Heather (Kyle) Rudduck of Wilmington; special friends Bradley (Angel) Van Hoose  of New Vienna; Godson Waylon Van Hoose; Pastor and great fried David (Pamela) Van Hoose of Wilmington; and many friends.  “Mouse” is preceded in death by his mother Christine Drake; and grandfathers, Delbert Drake and Sam Simpson.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, 160 N.
