Carl E. Glass

Carl E. Glass, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away August 29, 2025 at Victory Ridge Hospice Care Unit at the Dayton Veterans Administration in  Dayton, Ohio.  He was born January 31, 1941, in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Helen (Garringer) Glass.  Carl was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a “car guy”, he loved older cars, especially older Volkswagens.  He had owned and operated Carl’s Auto Sales in Sligo, and had been a salesman for C&C Auto Sales, and West 50 Auto Sales, he had also sold homes at 73 Homes in Wilmington.    Carl is survived by his son Michael (Kim) Glass of Rainsboro; daughter Michelle (Joe) Bosier of Sabina; sister Norma Jean (Harold) Harlan of Crownsville, Maryland; girlfriend Marsha Rueger of Wilmington; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.  In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife Valcetta Glass; and several siblings.  Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.  Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
