Carl Harris

Carl Harris, age 64, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023. He was born on May 4, 1959 at Middletown Hospital in Middletown Ohio to Robert E. and Esther Lee (nee Wilder) Harris.

He grew up in Lebanon, Ohio, moved to Cincinnati Ohio, and graduated from Cincinnati School District. He played football while in school.  He held the position of printing press operator at Unit Sets for over 30 years.

Carl coached little league baseball when his sons were younger. He enjoyed watching football and was a Bengals fan. He also enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, and spending time with his family. Family was everything to him. He was a great father who worked hard and provided for his family. He had a great sense of humor and was liked by many people. He was a great man.

He always made friends wherever he lived and worked. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Carl will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents Robert E. and Esther Lee (nee Wilder) Harris and brother Robert Earl Harris Jr. 

Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Vernonda Harris of 43 years, his brothers Morris Harris, Harvey Harris, and Vernon Harris; his beloved children, sons Christopher Lee (Hennessy Harewood), Jason, Shawn, and Ryan Harris; thirteen beautiful grandchildren, Kinnedi, Kameryn, Kanai, Jace, Monica, Carson, Vivian, Shawn Jr. Cainen, Tyla, Makaelynn, Raiden, Harper, a loving extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
