Carlynda Shope McElroy

Carlynda Shope McElroy, age 60, of Wilmington, passed away Peacefully Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati with family by her side. She was born October 10, 1960, in Wilmington, the daughter of Albert David and Patty Mae (Sanderson) Shope. Carlynda worked at ADVICS Manufacturing in Lebanon for 25 years. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She was a very loving, caring, and giving person. She had a contagious smile and was loved by many. She was a loving mother to her sons, but truly a mother to all. Carlynda is survived by two sons, Aaron McElroy and Nils (Brittany) McElroy; granddaughter McKayla Mae McElroy; mother Patty Mae Shope; daughter-in-law Jennifer Terrell; sister Catrina Green; brothers, Charles Allen Shope, and Thomas Clayton Shope; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Carlynda is preceded in death by her father Albert David Shope; and brother David Christopher Shope. Family and friends are invited to a gathering to Celebrate Carlynda’s Life, Friday September 17, 2021 from 2:00 to 8 p.m. at the Hopewell Day Lodge, at Caesar Creek State Park, Middletown Road, Waynesville, Ohio 45608.
