Carolyn Kaye (Bean) Doyle, known as Kaye, age 75, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born October 29, 1945, in Xenia, Ohio the daughter of the late Jesse E. and Kathleen (Freeland) Bean. She had worked with Hood Packaging for more than 37 years, starting as a material handler, and holding several positions before retiring as purchaser. Kaye was very artistic, she made jewelry, taught ceramic classes, loved to oil paint, and enjoyed crafting. She enjoyed spending time on her “computer”, (a.k.a. I-Pad), messaging family to make sure all were well. Because of these messages, she became known as “Queen of the Emoji” by her family. Kaye had a big heart, she loved, and was loved by many. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Albert Lee Doyle; children, Sonya Goldie, Tamara Collett, Regina “Geannie” (Tom) South, and Melissa (Eric) Deer, all of the Wilmington area; grandchildren, Natosha (Bill) Hall, Erica Goldie, Brendyn (Felicia) South, Devon Lansing, Isaac Collett, Skylar Maynard, Elisha Collett, Seth Goldie, and Baylee Deer; great grandchildren, Haylee Lansing, Zayne Maynard, Kaelin Morrison, Cynthia Maynard, Brintley Rayson, Abby Maynard, Titus Howard, Preslee Ellis, Nevaeh Lansing, Journi Penick, Jazz Goldie, Noah Lansing, and Grayson Hall; sisters, Barbara Flora of Lynchburg, Brenda Camp of Wilmington, and Patricia (Phil) Butler of Wilmington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends. In addition to her parents, Kaye is preceded in death by one brother, Richard Lee Bean; and son-in-law Robert Collett. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the Wilmington Church of Christ. Kaye’s grandson Brendyn South will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
