Charles Maurice "Charlie" Garman, age 71, of Clarksville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Charlie was born May 6, 1953 in Xenia, Ohio, the son of the late Chester C. and Ruth (Brown) Garman. A very content retiree from Twist, Inc., Xenia, he derived great joy from traveling throughout the United States and Canada, gardening, and entertaining. His leisure sport was Thursday night bowling.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen (Manor), of 48 years; brothers, Bobby Garman and Lester (Robin) Garman of Xenia, Richard Garman of Clarksville, and Denny Garman of Wilmington; sister-in-law, Suzanne Manor of Beavercreek; brothers-in-law, D. William (Cynthia) Manor, Kenneth Manor, and C. Robert (Tammy) Manor of Wilmington; nieces, Kristin (Kevin) Jackson, Erin Cropper, Jennifer Price, Sarah (Mathew) Rodgers, Kristi Garman, Amanda (Zachery) Stroup, and Lesley (Ridge) Hochstettler; nephews, Russell (Rachel) Garman, Ryan Garman, Jason (Jennifer) Mallory, John William Finkbone, W. Shane Manor, and Matthew Manor; and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by two great nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Pastor Nancy McCormick will officiate. Burial will follow immediately in Clarksville Cemetery.
