Charles Bruce “Chuck” Hail, age 47, of Sabina, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Chuck was born July 22, 1977, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Joseph F. and Joyce A. (Legg) Hail. Chuck was a graduate of Beavercreek High School. While in high school he had served as Junior Class President, was on the wrestling team, and was captain of the football team. After high school, Chuck attended Wright State University and obtained his B.A. degree in education. He went on to gain his Master’s Degree from Ohio Dominican University. He put that education to work at East Clinton High School, where he has taught for more than 21 years. In his time at East Clinton, Chuck taught History, Social Studies, and Government. He took great pride in being a teacher. He had also been involved as an assistant coach with the football team and wrestling team. Chuck was instrumental in starting the Jr. High Wrestling program that continues to flourish. In his free time, Chuck enjoyed golf and spending time with family. He also enjoyed reading and writing. Chuck is survived by his mother, Joyce A. Hail of Sabina; two aunts; several cousins; many friends, colleagues, and students which he treasured. Chuck is preceded in death by his father, Joseph F. Hail, sister Melanie Hail, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Wilmington Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. Justin Tong will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Entombment at Valley View Memorial Gardens will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
