Charles Russell "Charlie" Jones

Charles Russell “Charlie” Jones, age 78, of the Clarksville area, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 9, 2021, with his loving wife Kay by his side.  Charlie was born January 21, 1943 in Berea, Kentucky the son of the late Charlie H. and Helen M. (Eaton) Jones.  Charlie was a member of the Wilmington Church of God.  He enjoyed vintage toy trains of all types; he also enjoyed antiques and attending auctions.  Charlie was a buyer for a livestock yard, and he, along with his wife, had farmed and raised all types of livestock.  From cattle, to hogs, to goats, to alpacas, etcetera, you name it, he probably had one on his farm at one time.  His family would say that he loved food and family gatherings.  Of all his enjoyments in life, his greatest enjoyments were his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Charlie is survived by his wife, Kay (Simpson) Jones, to whom he married August 7, 1964 in Winchester, Ohio; two children, Charles Russell (Nataliya) Jones, Jr., of Waynesville, and David Todd (Vicki) Jones, of Waynesville; grandchildren, Christina (Jordan) Dyer of Clarksville, Charles Russell (Paige Shears-Hayner) Jones III of Clarksville, Andrew Jones of Miamisburg, David (Brittany) Jones of Middletown, Katie (Drew) Moon of Wilmington, Alex Jones of Waynesville, Maria Jones of Waynesville, and Sophia Jones of Waynesville; step-grandchildren Sienna Yount of Dayton, and Joey Yount of Dayton; great grandchildren, Elijah Dyer, Vincent Dyer, and Claire Jones; and many friends.  Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Wilmington Church of God.  Burial will follow in the Miami Cemetery in Corwin, Ohio.  Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at the church.  Brown Funeral Home is serving the family.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
