Cheryl Lynn (Carson) Shamp

Cheryl Lynn Shamp, age 60, of Sabina, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Inpatient Care Unit at Hospice of Dayton.  She was born April 19, 1961 in Clarksville, Ohio the daughter of Charles E. and Marjorie (Jones) Carson.  Cheryl was a sweet lady, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved to have fun, loved listening to old Rock & Roll music, and enjoyed dancing and spending time with friends.  More than anything, she loved riding the Harley with her husband Gary.  She was a lifelong resident of Clinton County, and had been a bookkeeper of National Bank and Trust.  She enjoyed spending time at V.F.W. Post 6710, which was a special place for her.    Cheryl is survived by her husband Gary; daughters Ashley (Ryan) Gregory of Reesville, and Tricia Chaney of Florida; grandchildren, Christian Frisbie, Alyssa Frisbie, and Dillan Gregory; mother Marjorie Carson of Hillsboro; siblings, Charles (Michelle) Carson of Martinsville, Steve Carson of Florida, Michael Carson of Sabina, Jamie (Kelly) Carson of Hillsboro, Debra (Larry) Carrico of Sabina, and Nolan (Cheryl) Carson of Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.  Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Carson.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. A Celebration of Cheryl’s Life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Wilmington V.F.W. Post 6710, 1130 N.
