Dale Hatten, age 81, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Clinton Memorial Hospital. He was born February 17, 1942, in Midland, Ohio, the son of the late Rudy and Valera Hatten. Dale retired after nearly 25 years of service at Wright-Patterson Airforce Base as a Fire Fighter. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1969 and began his training at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. Dale enjoyed his alone time on his motorcycle touring the country. Among his hobbies was woodworking and engraving wood. He was an avid follower of the Cincinnati Reds and became an usher at Reds games after his retirement. Dale spent a great deal of time exploring the Ft. Ancient area, along with studying Native American History. He also was active in Civil War reenactments. Dale is survived by two sons, Jason Hatten of Midland and Timothy (Brittanea) Hatten of Hamilton; and two grandchildren, Raynei Hatten and Anthony Hatten. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Brown, Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
