Danny Ray Pogue, age 73, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 28, 1951, in Roswell, New Mexico, Danny was the son of the late William and Mae (Johnson) Pogue. A proud Vietnam Veteran, Danny served his country in the United States Navy. He was a man with a great sense of humor and was a loving, dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Danny loved to play softball and golf, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was also a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, and the Dallas Cowboys. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife of 45 years, Pam Pogue, to whom he married on June 15, 1979; children, Jennifer (Billy) Totten of Dayton, Kim (Tony) Cochran of Hillsboro, Sheila (Mike) Krabacher of Wilmington, and Brittany Clark of South Lebanon; grandchildren, Bryanna (Jacob) Poling, Destiney (Ravyn) Fadely, Aidan Pogue - Krabacher, Brayden Cochran, BJ Clark, Trinity Clark and Kayley (Andrew) Matthews; great-grandchildren, Alexandria PK Ramirez and Greyson Fadely; brothers, Wayne (Shana) Pogue and John (Tracy) Pogue; father-in-law, Gene Clevenger; many special nieces and nephews; and good friends, Joey Rachford and Max Carey. In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his siblings, Ronnie Pogue and Patty Kuhn; nieces Monica Pogue and Jessie Pogue; and brother-in-law's Randy and Mikey Clevenger. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard of Wilmington to begin services at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until services begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
