Danny G. "Fat Daddy" Sheeley

Danny G. “Fat Daddy” Sheeley, Sr., age 72, of Wilmington, formerly of Sabina, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born November 18, 1948 in Sabina, the son of the late Forrest and Maryanna (Wical) Sheeley.  Danny was a free spirit that never met a stranger, he had an outgoing personality and loved to tell a story or a joke.  He enjoyed gambling, especially horse racing, slot machines, and the Lottery.  Danny loved to spend time with his son “Sug”, and had a tremendous amount of friends that loved him and will miss him.  He is survived by four children, “Sug” and his wife Jackie Sheeley of Wilmington, Carol and her husband Kevin Knisley of Sabina, Becky Newman of Sabina, and “Boonie” Newman of Hillsboro; former spouse and life friend, Beverly Sheeley of New Vienna; and several grand and great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Ross.  Danny’s wishes were to be cremated, and to have no public services.  His family will Celebrate his life privately.  Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
