DeAnn P. Kachelmeier, 78 years old of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 12, 2022 in Wilmington at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was born December 22, 1943 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of the late Andrew Stacy and Grace (Huebsch) Stacy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Kachelmeier, whom she married on July 14, 1967 in Chicago, IL.  DeAnn and Joseph moved from Illinois to California where she resided in San Marcos for many years. She loved to dance, eventually joining a regional square dancing group where she toured the state for many years. In 1984, she was invited to perform at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.  In 1994, she moved with her family to Wilmington, Ohio where she eventually worked at Kroger for many years as a cashier.  Having been an active member in the churches she attended, DeAnn had a strong love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved to sing and was always an active member of church choirs and loved taking part in church plays.  She touched the lives of so many people with her kindness. She would go out of her way to offer compliments to anyone she encountered to brighten their day. Beyond that, she would offer any sort of assistance to anyone in need, be it financial or otherwise, even at her own disadvantage.  DeAnn is survived by her son Andrew (Angela) Kachelmeier, New Antioch, Ohio; Son-in-law George (Darlene) Carrington, Morrow; two grandsons, Sean Kachelmeier and Jason (Lynn) Carrington, Goshen; great grandchildren Arin Kachelmeier, Liam Kachelmeier, and Grace Carrington. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene A (Govostis) Carrington.  DeAnn will be interred at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington. Because she had such a love for miniature schnauzers her entire life, in lieu of flowers or cards, donations can be made to the Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati, PO Box 1602, Miamisburg, Ohio 45343.
