Destry Lee Duncan, age 58, of Clarksville, passed away unexpectedly October 12, 2023. He was born October 28, 1964 in Middletown, Ohio, the son of William and Margaret (Glackin) Duncan. Destry loved his family more than anything. His strength and love in the Lord was an inspiration to all and often exhibited in his actions throughout the community. Destry was a coach and mentor not only in sports, but in life. His joyful nature and embellished stories brought laughter to all who were lucky enough to know him. Left to cherish the memory of Destry are his children, Taylor, Colton, Hanna and Liza Duncan, all of Clarksville; his Father, William (Betty) Duncan of Clarksville; siblings, Terry (Steve) Velten of Chicago, Illinois, Bruce (Crystal) Duncan of Clarksville and Jason (Amy) Duncan of Clarksville; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Father Anthony Brausch; and friend and mother of their children, Patty Duncan. Destry is preceded in death by his mother Margaret (Glackin) Duncan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington. Father Anthony Brausch will be the Celebrant. Burial will immediately follow in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. The family requests that you bring a written or typed story of your favorite memory of Destry, so they may add it to a memory journal. You can also submit a memory through his obituary link.
