Dominic J. Melvin, age 37, of Wilmington, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Sabina. He was born December 3, 1983 in Dayton, the son of Arthur Hall and Jeanette Melvin. Dominic enjoyed Rap music as both a writer and Rapper. He also enjoyed basketball, chess, working out, fishing, and lottery scratch-offs. He was also known to enjoy Honey Buns. Dominic is survived by his daughter Naudea and her mother Gloria Mojica; sons Jaeden and his mother Stephanie Hays, and Maddox and his mother Brittany Craft; brothers Aaron Seese and Josh Payne; foster family of Lisa and J.R. Frisco along with his many foster siblings; his aunt, “Aunty Alice”; and the Melvin Family, Walker Family, and Payne Family. He is preceded in death by his mother Jeannette Melvin; brother Michael Melvin; grandmother Ruby Ann Melvin; grandfather James Melvin; and father figure Lee Royall Payne, whom he referred to as “Pops”. Services will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
