Donnarae Sharon (Brendlinger) Hasz, age 84, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was born July 11, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Ray and Dorothy (Bang) Brendlinger. Donnarae grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Western Hills High School in 1958. She went on to attend the Deaconess School of Nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse. In 1970, she married the love of her life, John Hasz, and began an exciting life together that lasted 54 years, living in Ohio, Massachusetts, and Alaska. She was always hospitable and welcomed anyone into her home. She was known for her baking and candy making, as well as her reading books to the young ones. Donnarae lived her life as a Proverbs 31 Christian woman and was an example to many. She battled physical illness and hardships over the past 20 years, but went through everything with grace and humility, never complaining or giving up. Donnarae will be greatly missed, but her family, and church families have many wonderful memories and are grateful for the time shared with her over the years. Donnarae is survived by her husband, John Robert Hasz; children, Ronna Joy (Robert) Thompson of Fayetteville, David Brett (Angela) Hasz of Wilmington, and John Steven (Daniela) Hasz of Switzerland; grandchildren, Charity Joy and Victoria Faith Thompson, Anjelika and Nickolaus Hasz, and Chantel, William, and Michael Hasz; six great grandchildren; brother Irv (Shirley) Brendlinger of Portland, Oregon; as well as many friends and church family. In addition to her parents, Donnarae is preceded in death by one sister, Joyce (Brendlinger) Kelly; and son Tony Ray Hasz. A Celebration of Donnarae’s life will be held by her family and friends sometime in October, and will be announced.
