Dorothy Jean (Downard) Morgan

Dorothy Morgan, age 87, of Wilmington, formerly of Sabina, passed away April 11, 2023, at the Laurel's of Hillsboro.  She was born in Fayette County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Vollie and Ethel (Penwell) Downard.  Dorothy, along with her husband Joe, owned and operated the NAPA parts store in Sabina for many years.  She also spent many summers helping at Peterson's Farm Market.  After retiring, she and Joe spent 15 years living in Punt Gorda, Florida.  Dorothy loved tending to her flowers, sewing, canning food, camping and fishing.  But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.  Dorothy was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star, and the Red Hat Society.  Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Evan J. (Joe) Morgan, Jr.; children, Betty (Roger) Peterson of Xenia, Dennis Morgan of Lakeland, Florida, and Debbie (Dave) Norris of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Sabina Cemetery.  Brown, Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
