Douglas Roberson, age 70, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born September 27, 1949 in Wilmington, the son of the late Thomas and Carolyn A. (Brandon) Roberson. Douglas was a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed taking rides through the countryside with his wife enjoying the scenery. Douglas is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay (Harding) Roberson, to who he married May 5, 1990 in Yellow Springs, Ohio; step-children, Kristie (Aaron) Howard of Springfield, Anthony (Salema) Berrien of Springfield, and Justin Berrien of Springfield; step-grandchildren, Cameron Berrien, Madison Berrien, Aaron Howard, and Anthony “Trey” Howard III; step great grandchildren, Amariah Howard and Carter Howard; and his brother Steve (Brenda) Roberson of Powder Springs, Georgia. He will be miss by many. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his three-year-old son, Heath Roberson; brother Thomas Roberson, and step-grandson Tyler Dent. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard at the funeral home immediately following services.
