Earl L. “Poppy” Schneder, age 70, of New Vienna, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington after a lengthy battle with multiple health issues. He was born September 3, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Robert and Sarah (Snell) Schneder. Earl, or Poppy as most knew him, was a 1969 graduate of Wilmington High School. He was a well-known, and well-travelled Equine Dentist. His family meant everything to him. When his children were young, he got involved with garden tractor pulling. As a family, they would travel to pulling competitions. His children, then grandchildren all became part of “Team Pulldog” garden tractor pulling team. He, along with his wife Jackie, also taught dancing, and line dancing all around southwest Ohio. His life revolved around family, he loved and adored his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Poppy is survived by his wife Jackie (Tolliver) Schneder, to whom he married July 20, 1982, in Wilmington, Ohio; children, Shae (Stacey) Schneder, Shane (Tammy) Earley, and Shannon (Heath) Holbert; grandchildren, Zachary, Kristen, Tyler, Bayden, Jordan, Shayla, Delaney, Sydney, and Hunter; great grandchildren, Willow, Evander, and Asher; sister Becky (Gerald) Holland of Missouri; brother Bob (Mary) Schneder of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, both locally, and extended. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Dove Church, 1499 Rombach Avenue, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. Dave Hinman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Achor Cemetery on Lacy Road, New Vienna. The procession will take a lap around the horse track at the Clinton County Fairgrounds on the way to the cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dove Church. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
