Ed "Bud" Sexton Obituary

Ed “Bud” Sexton, age 51, of Wilmington, passed away, Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home.  he was born June 7, 1968 in Wilmington the son of Edward and Laura McCaskill Sexton.  He had recently moved back to Wilmington after spending 20 years in Bradenton, Florida.  Bud loved the Cleveland Browns, fishing, NHRA Drag Racing and was a huge John Force fan.  He enjoyed driving a dump truck for Cox Paving and more recently Leisure Trucking.  He dearly loved his nieces and nephews and would give anything to anyone, that is the kind of guy he was.  He is survived by his wife, Diana Sexton of Wilmington; mother Laura (McCaskill) Sexton; two sisters, Peggy Grove of Wilmington and Treasa Sexton Earhart of Wilmington; three nieces, Sarah Coleman, Amber Boysel, and Ashley Hensley; two nephews, Jeremy Speaks and Alan Frick; many great nieces and great nephews; special friend Kelly Keyer; and his 16 year old Jack Russell, “Toots”.  Bud is preceded in death by his father Edward Sexton; and two brothers, William and Jim Speaks.  According to Bud’s wishes, cremation will take place and all services are to be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
