Elizabeth Jean Hensley

Elizabeth Jean Hensley, age 63, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 4, 2025, at her home. She was born September 23, 1961, in Clinton County the daughter of the late Charles Edward "Bud" Hensley and Alviena Jane Parker. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, drawing and listening to music. She also loved to dance, spend time with her family and taking care of others. She loved her family and friends very much. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Latasha Jane Buchanan, Billy Nathaniel Buchanan, April Rose Brown (Parker) and June Marie Parker; grandchildren, Destry Powell, Thomas "TJ" Womble, Jessica Bennett, Chance Powell, Sarah Bennett, Gabriella Powell, Antone Wheeler, Josiah Henderson, and Aliyandra Wheeler; great-grandson, Zavi Barrow; brother, Charles Edward Hensley; special aunt, Sally Koons; special sisters, Amy Ahrman and Sharon Lawrence; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother Alviena Jane Parker; father, Charles Edward "Bud" Hensley; and her brothers, Robert Lee Hensley and Clarence Edward "Ed" Hensley. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service begins at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Rick Sandlin of Clarksville Pentecostal Church will officiate. Burial will immediately follow services in Clinton County Memory Gardens.
