Ermajean Lucille Swearingen, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born April 19, 1947, in Waynesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Emma (Lindsay) Tibbals. Erma retired from Randall-Textron in Wilmington after more than 28 years of service. Erma was loved by all of her neighbors, and they all agree that Old State Road will not be the same without her. Erma is survived by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Marvin Leroy "Jake" Swearingen, they were married June 6, 1964 in Blanchester; daughter, Sherry and her husband Rich Mester; son Jeff and his wife Michele Swearingen; grandchildren, Emilie (Clay) Cleaver, and Luke (Lily) Swearingen; great grandchildren, Phoebe, Evie, Charlie, and one on-the-way; brothers Charles “Buddy” Arthur and Walter “Dick” Arthur; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to her parents, Erma is preceded in death by one sister, Ginny Wamsley; and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Arthur and Sheila Arthur.
