Until his retirement, he worked at the Rapid Ford Hog Farm. In addition, Ernest was a lifelong farmer who was dedicated to raising beef cattle and passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with his grandchildren.  Ernest was well known for his love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a faithful Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan, as well. However, Ernest was happiest spending time with friends and family, especially “his boys”.   In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis McClanahan and Wanda Bosier and one brother, Daryl Bloom. He is survived by one daughter, Tisha (Bryan) Howard; four grandchildren, Jordan Greene of Blanchester, Ohio, Tristan (Ashley) Greene of Blanchester, Ohio, Kylie (Tyler) Holden of Midland, Ohio, and Dustin (Sierra) Howard of Batavia, Ohio; four great-grandsons, Brooks Greene, Riley Greene, Jax Holden and Baylor Howard; two brothers, Robert (Jo Ellen) Bloom of Wilmington, and Darius Bloom of Blanchester. In addition, Ernest is survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and treasured friends who will miss him dearly. Ernest also shared a special bond with Gary Parker, whose generosity has been so greatly valued.  Friends and family may visit at Brown Funeral Home in Wilmington, Ohio on Saturday, May 30th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William, Ohio.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
