Garneda F. Burton, age 67, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Cedarview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon. She was born December 16, 1956, in South Webster, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arnold and Jewell Fulk. Garneda loved to gamble and play Skill Games. She had a love for the outdoors, enjoying birds and flowers, she loved to laugh and enjoyed a good phone conversation. Garneda was a friend to all, and never had an enemy. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them. Garneda is survived by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Burton; three children, Jayson S. (Katie Garrison) Fyffe of Lynchburg, Jamie (Craig Wells) Padilla of Hillsboro, and Lee E. Padilla of Portsmouth, Ohio; grandchildren, Kadon Fyffe, Ethan Garrison, Zachary Padilla, Kayson Williams, and Shaylen Williams; great grandchildren, Phoenox, Aryan, and Oaklee; siblings, Eddie Fulk of Wilmington, Marilyn Fyffe of New Vienna, Jerry (Diane) Fyffe of Hillsboro, and Peggy Weaver; and many friends, including, Judy Jordan, Carolyn Townsend, and Peggy Collins. In addition to her parents, Garneda is preceded in death by siblings, Dave, Ronnie, Randy, and James. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
