George P. Merrill

George P. Merrill, age 76, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 3, 2021, at his home.  He was born August 6, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late George S. and Carmel (Smith) Merrill.  George had worked at Cincinnati Milacron for 30 years, initially as a machine repair specialist, then as a Sales Representative for the last 11 years of service.  George is survived by his wife, Joyce F. (Campbell) Merrill, to whom he married June 14, 1980 in Hamilton, Ohio; Children, Tammy (Cornelius) Ramirez of Ross, Ohio, Jennifer (Danny) Welch of Ross, Ohio, and Dean (Karen) Rusher of Indiana; grandchildren, Angie Ramirez, Alise Singleton, Shelby Welch, Autumn Rusher, Coty Rusher, Brittany Welch, Tanner Welch, and Angelina Rusher; great granddaughter Adrianna Singleton; siblings, Terry (Sue) Merrill of Loveland, Ohio, and Gwen Merrill of Florida; and nephew Michael Merrill of Loveland, Ohio.  In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by one son, George Merrill in 1985.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arheart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
