Harold Allen Curry, age 86, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, October 13, 2021 at his home with his loving wife Libbie by his side. He was born November 27, 1934 in McKay Station, Clinton County, Ohio, the son of the late John Williams and Ann (Chandler) Curry. Harold was a devoted man, to both his family and friends. He was a member of the Chester Friends Meeting on Gurneyville road. He had a big heart, and was a very hardworking man. Harold traveled to Cuba 11 times to help the Cuban community. He also traveled frequently with the Quaker Disaster Services and helped build houses in Belize and Honduras. Harold is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Elizabeth Ann “Libbie” (Haines) Curry, to whom he married October 28, 1955; son Brett Allen Curry; daughter Lynnelle Curry; grandchildren, Cody Camp, Travis Camp, Colt Curry and Cheyenne Curry; great grandchildren, Sylas Heineman and Cooper Camp; and many friends. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by three brothers. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Clinton Memory Gardens, Wilmington. Mike and Nancy McCormick will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
