Harry Craig Shaver, age 74, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 12, 2022 at his home. He was born October 4, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Harry served in the Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Harry was a member of the Wilmington American Legion and the Honor Guard. He was a retiree from Ford Motor Company.
Harry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Harry had a great sense of humor and loved making others laugh. His hobbies included golfing, bowling and fishing.
Harry is survived by his children Anthony (Gwendolyn) Shaver, Angel (Tony) Campbell, Tammy (Roger) Jordan, Angela Wilson, Joseph Shaver, and Andrew Shaver; grandchildren Austin (Megan) Shaver, Jacob (Destiney) Woods, MacKenzie (Levi) Campbell, Kayley Campbell, Britney (Rick) Lenart, Zachary (Stephanie) Baker, Ashlynn Wilson, Drew (Haley) Shaver, Deaven Shaver, Harli Warfield and Addison Reynolds; great grandchildren Haley Shaver, Avery Shaver, Kade Woods, Kamden Garrison, Urijah Lenart, Jazlyn Lenart, Brantley Shaver; sisters Emalie Johnson and Marjorie (John) Reddington, brother William Armstrong; several nieces, nephews, cousins and best friend, George Huffman.
He is preceded in death by his wife Karen Shaver; mother Marjory Shaver; father William Shaver; grandparents Emma and Harry Vornhagen; and brother-in-law Frank Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Wilmington, Ohio on Thursday, February 17th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday, February 18th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery.
