Henry Curtis Tucker, age 82, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born January 13, 1943, in Hunter, Arkansas, the son of the late Henry and Myrtle Tucker and had proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force from February 10, 1960, until August 9, 1963. Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Georgia (Spicer) Tucker, to whom he married May 9, 1964; his son, Henry (Mary) Tucker, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Botts of Miamisburg and Ernestine Blackwell of Arkansas; brothers, Eddie (Betty) Tucker and Doil Ray Tucker of Arkansas; brothers-in-law, Joe (Carole) Spicer and Bill (Kathy) Spicer; sisters-in-law, Jackie Joseph of Wilmington and Debbie Backenstoe of Washington Court House; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friends, Bill McCandless, Tom Helterbran and Bob Bean. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Henry and Myrtle Tucker; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Esther Spicer; brothers, Lee Roy, Billy Don and Calvin Tucker; sisters-in-law, Sheila Spicer; brothers-in-law Benny Backenstoe, John Botts and Larry Joseph; and a nephew, Larry "Jo Jo" Joseph. Curtis was the lead singer of the "Old Gold Country" band that played around the area in the 1970s and '80s. No one could sing "Seven Spanish Angels" better... not even Willie!
