James Benjamin “Jim” Harris, age 51, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born October 1, 1970 in Wilmington, the son of James Burl and Sheila Ann (Everson) Harris, Jr. Jim was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a 1989 Graduate of Clinton Massie High School where he was a standout Track Athlete. Jim loved the outdoors and campfires. He also loved cooking. Jim had big plans and visions for many things in life, but sadly, many were cut short due to his passing. He had a passion for helping people and found great joy in the simple things in life. Jim was a very giving, and hard-working man that will truly be missed by family, friends, and his loyal dog, Molleigh. Jim is survived by his wife, Lori Ann (Southworth) Harris; children, Emileigh Danielle Harris of Greenfield, and Zachary (Karissa Yates) Harris of Columbus, and their mother Renae Harris; parents, Jim, and Sheila Harris of Clarksville; two sisters, Sherry (Allen) Wiseman of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Peggy (Rod) Hickey of Wilmington; nieces and nephews, Alex Wiseman, Nikki (Robby) Tabanguil, Matthew Hickey and Alyssa Hickey; great-nephew, RJ Tabanguil; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many good friends, his work family at Ahresty, and new in-laws, especially Mogan, Michelle, Denise, and Alexis. Jim is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ben and Connie Everson; and paternal grandparents, James and Lavana Harris. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. noon, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church, 10198 St Rt 132, Pleasant Plain, Ohio. Pastor Kevin Waters will officiate. Food and fellowship will immediately follow the service at the church. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Springfield Friends Cemetery, 121 Todd’s Fork Road, Clarksville, Ohio. Military Honors will be accorded by the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.
