James C. “Jim” Robinson, age 83, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Hillsboro Health and Rehabilitation in Hillsboro, Ohio. He was born February 24, 1942, in Clinton County, Ohio, the son of the late Carl and Faye (Bowles) Robinson. Jim was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1960 to 1963. Jim was an avid follower of Cincinnati Reds baseball, and he loved to hunt mushrooms and arrowheads. He was a skilled carpenter and talented mechanic; he was known in the community as a “jack-of-all-trades” and would help anybody in need. Jim is survived by twin children, Jeff Sanford and Juli Yovanovich; nieces Lori (Mark McKee) of Wilmington and Patti Garland of Morrisville; nephews Terry Robinson and Roger Robinson both of Hillsboro; and special cousins Ryan Robinson, JR Robinson, and Robin (Jeff) Nichols, all of Martinsville. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by siblings, Janet Whitten, Donald Robinson and Roger and his wife Jane Robinson. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Burial with military honors accorded by the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard will follow in Martinsville I.O.O.F Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
